It's weird to hear some of the things in the world. There are things that are hard to imagine selling at great prices. This is about the most expensive weird coffee in the world. This coffee is made from the poops of the Wild Asian palm civet cat. For some, it may be annoying, isn't it? But the average price of a 1kg of coffee is between $45 – $600 per pound ($100 – $1300 per kilo). These prices vary depending on the type of coffee bean, the type of civet cat, and the type of cleansing. This coffee is mostly made in the Indonesian islands of Bali, Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi. In addition, this coffee is made in countries such as East Timor and the Philippines.

They bring seeds from the coffee plantations and feed them to the civet cats. In our country, chickens are kept in cages and calves are raised for this purpose. They keep civet cats in cages with big nets for this coffee product. After popping the coffee beans by the civet cats, the poops are washed. Then the coffee beans are dried and made into expensive coffee. The name of this type of coffee is "Copi Luwak". In their language, Luwak means civet cat. That’s why it’s called “Copi Luwak”. The reason why this type of coffee is special is because of the combination of nutrients and quality found in the coffee beans in the stomach of the civet cat.

This coffee has a history of about 200 years. In the early 18th century, the Indonesian islands were colonized by the Dutch. The Dutch rulers used the Indonesian islands to grow coffee from Arab traders. At that time coffee was the most profitable crop. Even a small amount of coffee is worth it. As a result, plantation workers were not allowed to drink coffee. Those rulers even tried to punish those caught stealing coffee beans. But the poor workers, who loved the taste of coffee, found another solution. Coffee plantations were infested with civet cats. These civet cats are used to eating coffee beans and they have been popped all over the coffee bean garden. So, the workers cleaned the coffee beans in the poops and dried them to make coffee powder.

The coffee beans in the civet cat poop had no value so it was not a problem for the rulers. But this coffee tastes better than regular coffee, so all the workers got used to drinking it. After researching the coffee that the workers drank, the plantation owners realized that it was a tastier and healthier drink than the usual coffee. After that this civet cat coffee or "Copi Luwak" started selling all over the world.

The main problem with producing this "Copi Luwak" is the limited quantity that can be produced. No matter how much coffee beans are given, the civet cats only eat a certain amount. Also, they have to wait for the civet cat to pop the coffee beans to clean it. As a result, fake "Copi Luwak" has started to be packaged and sold. Indonesia is a major tourist destination. So there is no "copi luwak" to match the demand of these tourists.

So now the counterfeiters are making  fake Copi Luwak and selling it like real "coffee loaf" packets. So it's hard to find a real "Copi luwak" right now. But dont try to make  "Copi luwak" by bringing coffee beans and feeding the calves without knowing the exact method of making this coffee.
